Volunteers Needed!

 The magazine committee is looking for one person to help co-ordinate the Magazine Fundraiser.  This is a great fundraiser that brings over $11,000 to the school.  Sheri Moody and Donna Bingham have been running the magazine drive for us for two successful seasons - thank you!

 The committee needs to sign on a new person to ensure that it can continue after this year. Donna will stepping down after the fall campaign this year, and would like someone on board prior to that in order that she can show them the ropes.  Ideally, the person would be able to commit to at least two seasons...

 Donna and Sheri were able to give us a great breakdown of the hours and time required, so please look it over and if you think you might be interested, please let us know as soon as possible!!!.

 June : 2 hours ( decide on Magazine Theme and set up display case in school reception area)

September: 3 - 4 hours (letters typed up to parents, photocopying, getting mass mailing ready,

3rd week of September - we will organize 4-5 volunteers to come in and put mailing together (last year it took just over an hour)

September 28th - Magazine kick-off in the Auditorium 1:30 p.m. till end of day. (optional)

September/October - The magazine drive runs for two weeks so popping into school 2/3 times per week picking up orders handing out prizes.

End of October - 2 hours - putting orders together

November - 2 hours - handing out prizes Sheri and Donna try and do most work either after student drop off 

(8:30) or 1:30/2:00 in afternoon just prior to pickup, but you could work that out as it best suits your schedule!

 Thanks to the great fundraiser we were able to provide: new books to the library, new sports equipment,reading material for the students, smart boards, and new technology.  So, let’s keep it going!
